ABOUT

Samantha Bertoldo

Samantha is a registered psychologist who is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, adults, and their families. In her work with young people and families she strives to work collaboratively to improve communication, behaviour, and attachment. Samantha utilises a warm, empathic therapeutic approach and believes an important aspect of treatment is providing a non-judgemental space for clients to explore their difficulties and understand themselves. She aims to collaboratively work with clients to reach meaningful and achievable goals. Samantha values working from a client-centred, strengths-based perspective to achieve positive client outcomes.

Samantha has experience working in both clinical settings and within a multi-disciplinary team in a developmental paediatric clinic. She is experienced in conducting psychometric assessments such as cognitive and academic achievement assessments. She has experience providing individual psychological intervention to children and teens implementing evidenced-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. Samantha will provide a tailored approach to a client’s needs and will draw on and integrate different theoretical frameworks including collaborative and proactive solutions (CPS), emotion coaching, and attachment styles through Circle of Security.
